HP is fighting back against the Apple iPad with more information about its Slate device, and it doesn't agree with the old adage that if you can’t say somtihng nice, you shouldn’t say anything at all.
It’s released a video demo showing off the new device. And while the demo lacks Steve Jobs in a smart suit, it does look awfully similar in other ways to Apple’s Oscars ad.
HP really is being a bit sneery about the iPad, it has to be said.
“With this Slate product, you’re getting a full web browsing experience in the palm of your hand. No watered-down internet, no sacrifices,” says Phil McKinney, vice president and chief technology officer for HP’s personal system group.
And there’s a second video demonstrating how the thing has full Adobe support – yah boo sucks, Apple.
